Revision of the Mining Code of Ivory Coast

Since 2014, our member has actively participated in the revision of Ivory Coast’s Mining Code through our involvement with the Chamber of Mines, playing a key role in shaping a modern, robust, and industry-friendly regulatory framework.

Our member's contribution included analyzing existing regulations, identifying gaps and inefficiencies, and proposing amendments to enhance transparency, attract investment, and promote sustainable mining practices. By collaborating with government stakeholders, industry leaders, and legal experts, our member helped strike a balance between fostering economic growth and ensuring environmental and social responsibility. This revised Mining Code has strengthened Ivory Coast’s position as a leading mining destination in West Africa, providing clarity and stability for investors while supporting the country’s long-term development goals.
